The Devon Building Control Partnership is a strategic local authority partnership which brings together the building control services of South Hams District Council, Teignbridge District Council and West Devon Borough Council into one unified partnership to serve the communities of south and west Devon.
By sharing our resources we have the scales of economy and the expertise to provide a modern and flexible Building Control Service.
The DBCp was formed on the 1 April 2004 and in a short time has built a reputation within the industry for delivering a high quality service based upon the principles of impartiality and competitiveness.
While we administer and enforce the building regulations, our philosophy is to be a part of the ‘design team’, to be enablers rather than enforcers, to educate and to add value to the building project.
