Dave has worked for Devon Building Control for over 10 years and has 27 years experience of working in Local Authority Building Control.  His career started as a trainee site agent for a construction company in the 80's.  He joined North Cornwall District Council as an Apprentice Building Control Surveyor in 1993.  In 2002 he then moved to Torbay Council as a Senior Building Control Surveyor and in 2007 he joined the Devon Building Control Partnership. 

In 2016 Dave became the Operational Group Leader for the West Team.

Dave is a Class 3 Specialist Registered Building Inspector (Categories A-H unsupervised for plans and inspections) and Class 4 Technical Manager.
