Nigel started his career in Building Control in 1998 as an Assistant Building Control Officer at East Devon District Council, having previously achieved a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.  He was soon promoted to Building Control Officer and stayed with East Devon until moving to join Devon Building Control Partnership in 2005.  Nigel is a Chartered Building Engineer with the CABE and enjoys using his many years of experience to work alongside customers ensuring they get the best possible outcome on their building projects.

Nigel is an LABC Level 6 Fire-Safety Specialist, a Class 2 Registered Building Inspector (Categories A-F unsupervised for plans and inspections) and a Class 4 Technical Manager.
